My FYP..... the End is Nigh!!

Hi there, well as I sit here at my computer and type I can't help but be bothered by the soreness of my eyes and the pain in my back. Both associated with the long hours spent sitting at a computer alas not always the same computer but perched in front of one all the same. Speaking of which got a bit of a drop in college today when I went in about 10am(sleep deprived and post motorway commute) to find loads of empty computers and a lad I'd never seen before sitting at my computer...… Now generally I wouldn't mind but today was not the day to meet the other lad who sits at the same computer as me on different days when I'm not there i.e. when I 'm not scheduled to be there. He was obviously well ahead of me as I heard him mention to our advisor that he was having problems loading to the mm-server. Which had given me problems with a different practice project. Anyway I had to download my project from that computer and load it up to a different one. This gave me a down time of over an hour before I was somewhat up and running.

So today was spent working on CodeIgniter and building a new table for my veg. I got the functions working in both the controller and the model  and displaying back to my view. It was then that I had a very bad realisation. People wouldn't click on all the individual buttons to find their results. So what I considered was amalgamating all the button information into one button and displaying the results in a friendly format on a drilldown page. I called Sharon to see what she thought and she gave me some assistance in the reprogramming the idea. I was very happy this worked but not a lot of time to be ponder it as time is just non existing for the project. I continued on then styling the layout of the quiz result page and the drilldown to examine the users results. This took most of my evening and as I type into the early hours there is still work to be done....the report beckons ………. which one you may ask.....I'd say that's a good question, there are many and not enough hours in the day! Till the Next Time!!
